The firm, fixed price for patent applications includes formal drawings. Because my quoted price includes formal drawings, you don’t pay an extra $1,000 - $2,000 for formal drawings above and beyond the cost of the application itself, as is frequently charged elsewhere!

Don’t pay twice for the same work: you receive full credit for the cost of any Provisional Patent Application I prepare against the cost of a Utility Patent Application I subsequently prepare, granted the invention doesn’t change in the interim.

If I’m in a meeting, leave a message and I’ll call you back when I retrieve my messages.

My goal is to see you at our appointed time. Don’t spend fifteen or twenty minutes (or more!) “cooling your heels” in a waiting room. Your time is valuable, so I don’t believe it should be wasted sitting around in a waiting room.

Your pre-examination patent search will be performed personally by myself, not some third party who may not understand your invention for lack of direct contact with you, the Client.

I will personally draft your entire patent application myself.

I will personally draft formal drawings for your patent application myself at no additional cost – formal drawings are included in the cost of the patent application. Where the same Patent Attorney drafts the text of the application and the drawings, rather than two separate individuals accomplishing these two tasks, there is less chance of inconsistency between the two, and a better quality patent application may result.

As a Director of the international relief organization Volunteers Without Boundaries, I’ve flown numerous missions to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, delivering medical supplies including a neonatal incubator and a ventilator to local medical organizations, and helped scout out and establish volunteer opportunities for American students abroad. Trying to figure out how to fit a five-foot tall, three-foot wide, 250 pound incubator into the Cessna Skymaster; unloading a ventilator in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico; and Mission Accomplished! to the Red Cross in Villahermosa, Mexico.

As a member of the aviation relief organizations Angel Flight Network and Brother’s Keeper, I’ve flown patient transport and emergency supply missions, most recently from Daytona Beach to New Orleans in a plane loaded to the rafters with donated supplies for Hurricane Katrina victims.

As President of the Florida Engineering Society, Daytona Beach Chapter, I helped institute a program where Engineer members of our Society donated two Saturdays per year, one in the fall and one in the spring, volunteering to help build houses under the auspices of Habitat for Humanity.

For two years I ran the annual middle school Mathcounts competition for Volusia/Flagler counties while serving as Vice-president and then President of the Florida Engineering Society, Daytona Beach Chapter.

Together with another Mechanical Engineer, I volunteered time and support to analyze and recommend improvements in the manufacturing process of the Personal Energy Transportation (“PET”) device for individuals handicapped by landmines and disease. See GiftOfMobility.org for more information.
